An overgrown Poptop matriarch. Mama Knifetops summons Knifetops to fight for her while lashing out at nearby foes. On occasion, she may also rush rather quickly towards her target. Striking with enough force to destroy tiles, the Mama Knifetop can be a troublesome foe. Glowing with an eerie red aura, the Mama Knifetop asserts her dominance of a region, becoming fiercely territorial of the cave it claims and will use while giving birth to it's brood. Like all poptops however, the Mama Knifetop is still dangerous even in this stage, capable of aggressive attacks even in the event of hatching and spawning.
A Mama Poptop has enough force in her attacks to shatter most defenses in a single swing, leading to a -15% life debuff upon being hit. It's massive claws have become serrated and are sharper than most normally forged blades. While not the quickest on it's feet, the Mama Kinifetops powerful arms have grown to such lengths that a creature standing a fair distance away might be caught off guard and slain as the Mega Poptop lunges in it's attacks. Even worse, the matriarch possesses a demoralizing roar, leaving those close reeling and dazed, affected by the Slow condition for several seconds, making escape nearly impossible. Additionally, as a matriarch, the Mama Knifetop is capable of spawning in Knifetops to aid in battle.
Mama Knifetop is usually encountered deep within Mines located beneath Lush worlds.

~ Boasting 300hp and 50% resistance to all physical damage, this creature can be challenging for inexperienced, and poorly equipped adventurers.
~ While built like a boss, this creature does not have a boss health bar appear when the creature grows near. This can lead to confusion when confronting this foe, often having it be at first confused with a regular adult poptop. Only it's slight reddish orange aura can give the creature's differences away, which is most common in the dead of night. This aura does not seem to take place in unnatural lighting, meaning that most the caves they claim as home serve as camouflage to their deadly nature and matriarchal status.
~ The Mama Knifetop can spawn up to 3 Knifetops at a time. These spawned knifetops act similarly to a player's summoned pets. They will teleport to the matriarch's position with a red beam, similarly to summoned pets or NPC's.
